Backlinks make the web go 'round. Sites achieve top search engine rankings in large part due to the backlinks pointing to their site, also known as a "backlink profile."
So, it makes sense there is a large demand for finding out who has the good links, where they found them, and even monitoring the links pointing to your own domains. There are several of these backlink explorer tools available to us at the moment: Yahoo Site Explorer, Open Site Explorer, and now Majestic Site Explorer.
